Why is this problem marked as solved, exactly? I contacted the EA Help, as instructed, but got no answer for five days now. I have a boxed version of the game, have been trying to get it working since Saturday - no luck, same error all the time. And sorry, but I can't accept 'Install Origin' as a solution to the problem. I bought the game while specifically skimming the box for the Origin logo or a message (should I say, warning?) that the game will require Origin to work.

All it said was an account with EA - which I had. I understand the two are somewhat merged at this point, but still, there's a difference between being registered with a company and installing its software as a compulsory step of playing a game bought in a store.
