I have a Hauwai E1752 modem, and have been receiving 3G HSDPA connectivity from my mobile supplier without problems for the past couple of years (constant light blue LED on the device). LED changes colour randomly between light blue and dark blue (normal 3G) at any time of day, including odd times like 4am. Sometimes the LED stays on light blue for quite a lomg time, then changes to dark blue, so somtime I can stream video ok, other times not.
